In Ancient Avalon, the Priestesses did not do the rites alone
Behind each woman stood her beloved — a Rose Grail Knight, the Protector of the Divine Feminine Womb Mysteries. The men and the women always did the rites together, and it was that union which held the veils of Avalon in place.
Then the men were sent to the Holy Land, and returned carrying a new story. That the Goddess was evil. That men should rule over the feminine rather than serve her.
At the height of a rite, in a circle of women in deep trance, the blades came out. And the hand that held the blade was the hand of the beloved. Each side believing the other had betrayed them first — a trickery of the Romans.
We are still living inside the ripple effect of that wound. It is felt as a withdrawal you cannot explain, even with a man whose intention is kind and loving.
Overcome by grief and rage, the Priestesses made an agreement. Never again would we let him into the temple of our beloved hearts.
“And an agreement made in ceremony holds until it is released in ceremony.”
That is what most of us have never done. And it is what we will do together here — a ceremony devoted to releasing that vow, and to tending the armour around our hearts.
